In the South, the church fan resembles a sense of coolness derived from Black experiences in Baptist church spaces - it is also a part of style and dress. Church fans reminded us Black people that we’re distinctive through the iconic artwork and powerful figures displayed on church fans.

Today, The GANZY’s artwork and church fans remind us to love Black people who are too often excluded from Black culture due to their gender expression, self expression, or sexual orientation.
