GANZY FANS

In the South of America, the church fan has long symbolized a sense of cool, rooted in Black Baptist traditions and Sunday style. These fans reminded us that Blackness is distinctive, reflected in the iconic artwork and powerful figures they often featured.

The GANZY draws inspiration from that legacy but reimagines it. We don’t call them church fans, out of respect for the sacred space they come from. Ours are GANZY fans, tools of expression and survival that carry a different kind of gospel.

GANZY fans celebrate Black people who have been excluded from the cultural center due to their gender expression, self-expression, or sexuality. They call us to remember that all forms of Blackness are worthy of love, visibility, and protection.
